VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Brian Teacher welcome to Full Court Tennis and today on the fifth step of the forehand volley challenge, I'm going to show you how to get your shoulder through the hit for more power. As you get your legs and torso to uncoil the shoulder stretchs and extends through the hit with the wrist laid back through contact and beyond. You really get a very dynamic volley with not only more power and penetration but you can add additional control by pressing and extending through the hit the whole way. You see the shoulder through the contact point right there. And look at those legs really stretched out. So when you want maximum power and control, you're using your legs, your torso right there. And then you're stretching that shoulder through the hip to press through the shot right there, pressing through. Look at that extension on the shoulder and the legs. And the torso, obviously, is coming through. He's loading the torso, stepping out on the right foot right there and then pressing and launching through right there with all his energy pressing through the shot. And just keep working on this wrist laid back, move your feet, rotate and then press through. Straighten or uncoil the forearm the wrist is laid back right there and you press through the hit and then you can release slightly at the end. Here we go, right through the ball. Just keep working on that light on your feet and keep going. Try practicing at least 15 minutes a day until you master each step. Post your progress to the full court feed and or hire a coach in app for a virtual lesson. Stay focused, enjoy the process, and always listen to your body.
