VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Brian Teacher, welcome to Full Court Tennis and today on the fourth step of the Forehand Volley Challenge, I'm going to show you how to use your legs aggressively to get more power through the hit. We can see right here, Nick is going to to use his legs very aggressively and load the torso more for maximum power. Right here Nick pivots and turns his right foot out and steps on that right foot and the wrist is laid back.. Look how he loads his torso across and onto the right foot . Notice how this happens as he also picks his left foot up which allows the torso to pivot and turn . Now watch those legs really explode through as he goes for the hit way in front onto his left foot and the torso and shoulders uncoil and forearm straightens and shoulder stretches through contact as he punches through the hit with the wrist back keeping on the ball with pressure at contact and extending through the hit. He's really stretching and pushing through those legs and extending way out in front there for maximum power from the right foot into the left foot. And let's watch this again from the ready position. He's going to set the wrist , pivot and step out while turning that right foot right there. The torso loads right there he picks up the left foot. as And he's really getting ready to load those legs and really stretch forward. Everything comes through and he presses right through here. Let's watch it. Left arm releases as he starts unloading. And right here, the wrist is laid back, stretching forward. Look at that hip way in front of them right there. And again, just keep working on this little movement. Light on your feet, stepping out, wrist laid back, simultaneous left arm across, and the torso and legs getting through the ball, very aggressive. Try practicing at least 15 minutes a day until you master each step. Post your progress to the Full Court feed and or hire a coach in App for a virtual lesson. Stay focused and enjoy the process.
