VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Brian Teacher and welcome back to Full Court Tennis. Today, on the second step of the forehand volley challenge, I'm going to show you how to simply transfer the energy of your feet through the hit. Now we're going to focus on using your feet to transfer the energy. Everything is going to be on your toes and you're still going to set that wrist back from the ready position like we did in Step 1. You can either have an eastern grip or continental grip. Nick's got a nice little eastern grip and you see he is up on his toes right here, setting the wrist back. Nick's left arm is across his body and in front and we see he pivots out his right foot pushing through the right foot and unloads the torso and we see Nick comes through and onto his left foot and he's going to make sure he comes forward and punches through the ball in front of his left foot there. So the hit of the forehand volley every time it's transferred from the right foot through the left foot for a right hander so that all our energy comes through the hit. See how the left arm releases and the hit is smooth Nice and easy from the legs and torso. Just transferring the energy with the wrist laid back their left arm.is acroos the body and in front. See how the shoulders turn and now as he pushes from right foot into his left foot the torso and shoulders come through and Nick punches through the ball right here, landing on the toes of his left foot and then back in balance with his feet.Keep your feet moving and just repeat this over and over again, the simple transfer of energy through your legs and punching through the hit. So this is again staying on the ball, making sure the contact is in front of you and transferring the energy through the hit.Try practicing at least 15 minutes a day until you master each step. Post your progress to the full court feed and or hire a coach in app for a virtual lesson. Stay focused, enjoy the process and always listen to your body.
